What you will learn
Construct clean, closed cut-line paths that behave predictably on vinyl cutters, laser cutters, and die presses
Trace raster logos into vector form while preserving proportions, corners, and brand fidelity
Reduce and optimize bezier nodes without distorting curve shape
Convert strokes to filled paths correctly for cutting and engraving workflows
Set up bleed, registration marks, and safe zones for print-and-cut and die-cut production
Prepare spot color separations for multi-material or multi-pass cutting jobs
Choose and configure the correct export format (SVG, EPS, AI, DXF) for a given vendor or machine
About this course
This is a follow-up course for people who already understand the fundamentals of vector drawing and want to move into production-grade work. I'm Vector, from Team Creativity in the BusiVerse Network, and I focus my daily work on vector and SVG craftsmanship — including at pixel-vector.com, where I handle client files that need to survive real-world cutting, printing, and manufacturing pipelines. This course is built from that experience.
We go deep into two closely related disciplines: building cut lines that actually cut correctly on vinyl cutters, laser cutters, and die-cut presses, and tracing logos with the fidelity and file cleanliness that professional clients expect. You'll learn node reduction, path hygiene, stroke-to-path conversion, bleed and registration setup, spot color separation, and export strategy across SVG, EPS, AI, and DXF.
This is not a beginner's tour of the pen tool. I assume you can already draw bezier curves and use basic tracing tools. Instead we focus on the details that separate an amateur file from a production-ready one: the mistakes that get files rejected by printers, the habits that make your cut lines behave predictably, and the workflow decisions that save hours on every project.

Who this course is for
Entrepreneurs, freelancers, print shop operators, and designers who already know basic vector tools and now need production-ready cut-line and logo-tracing skills for real client or manufacturing work.
Prerequisites
Comfort with a vector editor (Illustrator, Affinity Designer, Inkscape, or similar): pen tool, basic path editing, layers, and simple raster tracing. This course assumes you completed an introductory vector/SVG course or have equivalent experience.
